Job Description

Industrial Watts, OK 1st Shift $20/Hour Job Details The Service Technician will report to the Service Manager and be responsible for servicing and repairing semi-trailers, including box trucks, brakes, lights, seals, and performing general maintenance to meet DOT standards. Additional duties include replacing flooring, rub rails, doors and door trim, as well as repairs to roof, panels, nose panels, and upper rails. Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other breakdowns or failures of motor vehicles or related equipment. Troubleshoot and perform routine and corrective maintenance for all vehicles, including braking systems and hydraulic and air systems for tractors and trailers. Inspect, repair, and perform routine maintenance on customer vehicles and trailers. Use power and hand tools effectively to repair or replace defective components. Perform welding, electrical, fabrication, sheet metal, and mechanical work as needed. Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance files and DOT compliance documentation. Safely operate tractor-trailer units within terminal premises and on roadways as required. Prepare and maintain maintenance records in compliance with regulations. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Wear proper safety equipment. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Positive attitude with willingness and ability to learn new skills. Excellent mechanical aptitude and communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively with little supervision. Certified Forklift Driver or ability to become certified. Valid driver's license with no restrictions and good driving record. Good attendance and punctuality. Diesel engine experience and Class A CDL preferred. DOT certified in FHWA Inspections & Air Brakes preferred. Must have proper tools.
Physical Demands:
Use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently. Lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and more than 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required. Work outside and inside, around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery. Exposure to various environmental conditions and chemicals.
