Job Description

Position Summary:
The Service Technician role is responsible for repairs in the field on customer-owned machines. With minimal supervision, diagnose customer breakdowns and perform timely repairs. This position may be asked to perform duties at any hour of the day or any day of the week. Flexibility and technical knowledge are necessary for this position.
Primary Duties:
Service Technician removes, repairs, and installs components in varying configurations of equipment. Develop, maintain and share excellent product knowledge. Retain and safeguard all records as required by management. Coordinate efforts with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction 24/7 On call service. Address and resolve all customer requests, complaints and objections with a positive and creative approach.

Adhere to strict Safety Guidelines. Provide superior customer service and support company goals. Maintains service vehicle in safe and good repair.
Basic Requirements:
Must be over the age of 21, as driving is required. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company guidelines. High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent mechanical and communication skills are required. Must have basic hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.) Detail oriented with good observation skills. Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to detect technical discrepancies and malfunctions. Understanding of the proper use of all repair tools, testing machinery and equipment. Excellent oral communication and strong relationship building skills required. Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Experience with of Industrial/mobile hydraulic/pneumatic systems is a plus. Previous background should include knowledge of parts and nomenclature as well as a demonstrated ability to work well with customers. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. As MFCP is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Work environment:
primarily inside, workshop environment involving working at a bench or test stand in relatively close proximity to other technicians. Occasionally, the work will require working underneath or on large equipment either in the shop or directly outside the shop. The physical demands, and work environment reflected, are representative of those encountered by employees when performing the essential job functions. Salary:
$27.00 - $40.00/hour
