TEC Equipment features Mack and Volvo heavy-duty trucks, Hino and Isuzu medium duty trucks, Wabash trailers and Cottrell auto transport trailers. We offer a large and desirable inventory of new Mack and Volvo heavy-duty trucks and all makes of used trucks. Our full-service line-up also features quality parts, state-of-the-art service, collision centers and fuel, leasing/rental, financing, and insurance. Our locations are authorized service centers for Mack, Volvo, Cummins, Meritor, Eaton and Fuller warranties. TEC truly offers the convenience of one-stop shopping for all trucking-related needs. Overview This position is primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks. We offer in-house advanced-training opportunities - we are one of only three dealer groups in North America that is certified to conduct all Mack/Volvo training up to the master tech certification within our in-house Training Centers. We cover travel costs for our technicians to attend training. We also offer a family-oriented work environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues and repair vehicle to proper operating condition Perform routine and preventative maintenance services. Identify worn and damaged parts all parts to include major components, repairing, adjusting, or replacing as needed Troubleshooting with diagnostic software - charging systems, brakes, suspensions, A/C system Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs Ability to be on task to meet shop quality and efficiency standards Maintain safe and organized work area Follow all state and federal vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards; follow company policies, procedures, and safety and EPA regulations Must use all safety equipment necessary for the job Maintain current knowledge of job and technical skills by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems Qualifications Minimum 3-6 years of practical experience in commercial 6 & 8 truck classes Able to perform preventative maintenance services such as oil & transmission changes, replacement of light body components and lights & sensors, etc. Proficient in the repair and diagnosis of: diesel engines; interior & exterior cab components, hydraulic...
