Public Works Maintenance Foreman

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Works Maintenance Foreman to lead and oversee maintenance operations within our public works department. In this vital role, you will coordinate and supervise a team responsible for maintaining public infrastructure, including roads, buildings and other municipal assets. Your leadership will ensure that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Supervise daily maintenance activities across various public works projects, including road repairs, paving, minor construction to public buildings, vehicles and equipment. Operate and oversee construction machinery. Coordinate construction site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed and project timelines are met. Assign tasks to crew members based on skill levels and project requirements; provide guidance and training as needed. Inspect work sites regularly to ensure quality standards are maintained and safety regulations are adhered to. Collaborate with Public Superintendent to plan and execute infrastructure projects efficiently. Skills Experience operating construction equipment and power tools. Strong knowledge of construction processes. Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced construction or public works environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly. Knowledge of safety standards related to construction equipment operation and construction site management. $69,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
