Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician (Precision / Advanced Manufacturing) role requires the following capabilities: Operate, monitor, and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure efficient and reliable manufacturing performance Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to properly set up and process parts Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers) to verify compliance with quality standards Identify and resolve minor process or equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain throughput Maintain accurate production records, inspection data, and equipment logs to support traceability and reporting Manage multiple production queues and priorities to meet production schedules and customer demands Support preventive maintenance activities and perform routine equipment checks Follow all safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines, lockout/tagout awareness, and proper use of PPE Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with 5S principles Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supervision teams to resolve issues and support process improvements Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Winterthur Technologies requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: High school diploma or GED 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and basic GD&T concepts Experience using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges) Basic computer skills for production tracking and documentation Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Experience operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S practices Experience working with tight tolerances or precision component Previous experience in regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environments
