Job Description

Started in 1988, AccuBilt is an experienced turn-key systems builder and integrator of both flexible and dedicated automation. Our highly skilled team has experience in the design and manufacturing of GMAW Robot cells, Resistance welding cells, complex material handling cells, automated assembly cells, and testing systems. We are a leading company seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. In this role, the technician will support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of robotic and automated systems. This position involves both in-house and on-site work, providing technical support to ensure optimal system performance for our customers
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, commission, and support industrial automation systems and robotic cells
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades
  • Diagnose and repair PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and robotic systems
  • Provide on-site and remote customer support
  • Document service activities, reports, and system changes
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on system improvements and retrofits
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or 2+ years of experience in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, etc.) preferred
  • Strong understanding of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills in industrial environments
  • Willingness to travel for customer support (up to 30%)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with vision systems and servo motion control
  • Familiarity with industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, etc.)
  • Previous field service or integrator experience
