Job Description

Overview The LED Repair Technician is responsible for the precise diagnosis, troubleshooting, and component-level repair of high-density LED video tiles. This role requires micro-soldering capabilities. Candidates with a strong background in precision electronics repair—such as smartphone, tablet, or logic board remanufacturing—possess the foundational skill set required for this position. The successful candidate will utilize specialized rework equipment to replace micro-scale components, ensuring all inventory meets strict quality control standards for live entertainment deployment.
Duties Component-Level Repair:
Perform precision micro-soldering to replace individual Surface-Mount Device (SMD) LEDs, driver ICs, resistors, and capacitors on high-density PCBs.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
Utilize digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and proprietary testing software to isolate circuit failures, shorts, and signal degradation.
Microscopic Rework:
Operate digital and optical microscopes alongside professional hot-air rework stations to execute repairs on miniature components.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct rigorous post-repair testing to verify pixel alignment, color calibration, and structural integrity prior to inventory reintegration.
Inventory & Documentation:
Maintain accurate logs of repairs, component consumption, and failure rates within the company's asset management system.
Skills Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in micro-soldering and board-level electronics repair (experience in smartphone/device repair or electronics manufacturing is highly preferred).
Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrated expertise with hot-air rework stations, fine-tip soldering instruments, flux application, and solder alloy management.
Circuit Literacy:
Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, track PCB traces, and understand circuit architecture.
Precision and Dexterity:
Exceptional fine motor skills and the ability to perform high-precision work under magnification for extended periods.
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
