Job Description

DY Concrete Pumps is a growing company seeking an experienced mechanic for the service shop. If you enjoy working with your hands, strategizing challenging tasks, and solving problems, we want you on our team! All level techs and field mechanics are encouraged to apply. Wage is competitive and based on experience.
Shop Schedule:
7AM - 4PM Monday-Friday, estimated 40 hr/week with overtime available as workload allows; schedule and workday duration my vary slightly upon discussion during busy seasons
Requirements:
  • Must be willing to travel and work overtime when needed. Traveling may occasionally require flying to customers in other states. Travel and expenses will be covered by DY.
  • Must have basic tools or the ability to acquire them within a reasonable time frame
  • Basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge
  • Previous experience with concrete boom pumps is a plus
  • Basic welding experience preferred
  • Physical ability to work with heavy equipment and lift heavy parts and equipment in the service shop Job duties:
  • Bring expert knowledge to every repair to deliver exceptional service with every project
  • Repair all makes and models of concrete pumps and class 8 chassis, i.e., Putzmeister, Schwing, Concord, KCP, etc.
  • General pump and class 8 truck maintenance.
  • Remove and replace wear parts.
  • Remove and replace hydraulic motors and hydraulic cylinders
  • Repair or replace mechanical and electrical parts
  • Some welding on booms and sub structures
  • Read hydraulic and electrical schematics to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
  • Minor repair other miscellaneous equipment, i.e., generators, forklifts, farm equipment
  • Build hydraulic hoses, air lines, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
