Compensation:

$25 - $45 hourly

Responsibilities:

Ensure a straightforward repair process by clearly communicating systems issues and repairs Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle's integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools Adhere to manufacturer specifications to maintain vehicle systems and ensure customer satisfaction Help establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealerships Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements Diagnose and repair issues with vehicles Inspect and test automotive electrical systems for faults and malfunctions Replace worn or damaged parts, such as shocks, struts, and suspension components Perform scheduled vehicle maintenance services according to manufacturer guidelines Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed

Qualifications:

National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE certification is strongly desired Stellar customer service and communications skills are mandatory Automotive service technology training program completion or equivalent years of experience is required; associates degree is a bonus GED or high school diploma is mandatory Experience level: 3 years Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques - Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to customers Strong willingness to work with others in a positive way About Company Street Volkswagen of Amarillo is the only Volkswagen dealership in Amarillo.
