Job Description

Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for Laptop Repair Technician opportunities in Arlington, VA. Responsibilities for a Field Technician include but are not limited to: Perform memory upgrades on laptops by replacing existing 8GB memory modules with dual 16GB memory modules. Execute hardware upgrades efficiently in a high-volume environment, averaging approximately 5 minutes per device. Follow standardized procedures for laptop disassembly, memory installation, reassembly, and device validation. Coordinate with onsite technicians for device intake, handoff, and upgrade workflow management. Monitor DDR boot cycles, address POST prompts, and verify successful system startup after upgrades. Perform BIOS updates when required prior to memory installation. Manage multiple devices simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and productivity. Conduct post-upgrade validation to ensure devices are fully operational before being returned to end users. Maintain proper organization and handling of hardware components throughout the upgrade process. Communicate effectively with onsite teams and end users to support a seamless upgrade experience. Adhere to all operational, quality, and safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Candidates for Field Technician must meet the following requirements to be considered: Experience performing laptop hardware repairs, upgrades, or break/fix services. Hands-on experience with RAM installation, replacement, and troubleshooting. Basic understanding of BIOS updates, POST processes, and system boot procedures. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity when working with small hardware components. Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and standardized operating procedures (SOPs). Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple devices simultaneously. Professional communication and teamwork skills. Ability to provide basic hand tools, including precision screwdrivers, required for laptop servicing. What's in this Field Technician position for you?

      Pay Details:
