Install, remove, maintain pavement markings, installing and replacing new stripes with striping machine, maintaining equipment, truck, and inventory. Will work together to safely set up Traffic Control Plans. Responsibilities Obeys all traffic laws while operating fleet vehicle and equipment from one location to another Be able to operate on even or uneven terrain such as streets & earthen rights-of-way Performs daily Pre/Post trip inspections on all types of equipment and vehicles Follows the Traffic Control Standards as per the Texas MUTCD Work Zone Control Guide Direct traffic control at jobsite by flagging, cones, barrel and barricades Know how to setup message boards, water barrier, Type

Barricade during normal and emergency operations Operates sign and marking truck, replacing and removing traffic signs Collect field data as requested Install/replace crosswalk, speed bump markings, stop bars, arrows, layouts of parking lots, painting curbs and other street markings Operates eradicator, propane torch, and stripping machine May operate forklift, pallet jack, and table saw Performs routine inspections, maintenance of equipment, keep inventory of signs, hardware and tools Operates small power and hand tools Responds to after hours and weekend emergencies Must work under emergency responses during and/or after city emergency event; example: hurricanes, tropical storms, ice storms or any other city emergency All employees will work On-Call Duty rotation schedule and must be able to work different rotation shift under emergency responses Performs with a professional mind set Must be able to lead a team, if needed Keep materials stock in vehicles assignment, must communicate when supplies/materials are low Able to work in high-traffic areas, confined spaces, and/or elevated conditions Must be able to evaluate safe work conditions Must be proficient in decision making Must be able to communicate with internal and external customers Be professional under any conditions When given a request, ensures proper communication with the foreman, work coordinator, planner/scheduler, and assistant director Completes daily reports, work orders All reports and work orders must be legible Follow all City policies May be asked to perform other duties as assigned Position Type and Typical Hours of Work Non-Exempt - Full-Time - Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm Must be available to work additional hours as needed Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
