Engine Shop Service Technician - 2nd Shift

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, 2nd shift Engine Technician - Shop position available at our Longview, Texas location. The hours of the position are Monday-Friday from 4:00pm to 12:30am.

Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing high-quality teardown, inspection, and repairs of diesel and natural gas engines in a shop environment, responding to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, and, ensuring maximum value for work performed.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities: Perform complex repairs correctly such as teardown, inspection, repairs, test running, in a shop environment. Must have a minimum of 2 years of diesel engine rebuilding experience Must be able to read schematics and understand manufacture specifications. Must be computer literate in order to complete all duties. Daily computer use is required CAT ET and

experience is preferred or related diagnostic software Must be able to write service reports in detail about work performed in order to report to customer all findings. Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level. Ability to work with limited supervision and able to work in a team atmosphere. Must have own tools to perform duties. Must have a valid driver's license Diesel Technical schooling or Off-Highway Equipment schooling preferred. Must have steady employment history Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. approximately 15 times a day. Able to stand and walk for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and results-oriented. Excellent work attendance is required. Able to work overtime as needed to meet customer demand
