Generator Service Technician

Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on generators, including diesel engine repair and electrical troubleshooting using schematics and technical manuals Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections to ensure optimal generator performance Repair and overhaul generator components, including engines, alternators, control panels, and wiring systems Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs safely and efficiently Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for each job performed Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to clients Skills Proven experience as a service technician with dealership or automotive background preferred Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, mechanical components, and equipment repair techniques Familiarity with generator repair, Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting purposes Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and other mechanical tools Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong electrical experience for complex diagnostics Experience in vehicle maintenance or heavy equipment repair is a plus Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols Sales aptitude for recommending maintenance services or upgrades when appropriate Join us as a Generator Service Technician and become an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering reliable power solutions!
