Thalhimer is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Manchester Lake in Richmond, VA . This full-time role offers a regular work week with on-call hours as needed. As a Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the quality of our apartment homes, ensuring residents enjoy a well-maintained living environment. What You'll Do:
As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance of our property. Your hands-on expertise will cover everything from completing apartment work orders and turnovers to performing repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances. You'll also be responsible for maintaining common areas, property buildings, and pool areas, contributing to the overall upkeep of the community.Key responsibilities include:
Completing apartment work orders and turnovers promptly Performing repairs and preventative maintenance for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and appliances Assisting with the upkeep of common areas, property buildings, and pool maintenance Demonstrating exceptional customer service in all interactions with residents and staff Working with the team to ensure all maintenance tasks are handled efficiently and professionally Responding to emergency maintenance requests as needed Managing daily checklists, occasional tasks, and troubleshooting unexpected issues Each day brings a mix of routine and surprise tasks, so you'll never be bored-and you'll feel great knowing the impact you're making on residents' lives by keeping their homes in top shape!What We're Looking For:
At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar field CFC and HVAC certifications are required Strong background in plumbing, electrical systems , and general apartment maintenance A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between properties if needed Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for hands-on work If you're dependable, proactive, and take pride in your work, we want to hear from you!
