In this energized role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including high voltage and low voltage components. Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose system faults accurately. Perform fixture installation, wiring, and testing of electrical connections in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Assist with roofing assessments and coordinate fixture mounting on various roof types to ensure secure installation. Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively during installation and maintenance tasks. Read blueprints and schematics to interpret system layouts and wiring diagrams for repairs or upgrades. Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure seamless integration of electrical components with roofing or plumbing systems when necessary. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting work performed, parts used, and system conditions. Skills Strong electrical experience with a focus on high voltage systems and low voltage wiring. Knowledge of NEC standards related to solar installations and electrical safety protocols. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as forklifts safely. Roofing experience is a plus for rooftop installations; plumbing knowledge is beneficial for integrated system setups. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients alike.
