Perform routine laboratory analysis and document results. 2. Maintain inventory of necessary chemical materials for laboratory. 3. Troubleshoot, service, repair and calibrate various electronic equipment, furnaces, ovens, controllers, and recorders. 4. Performs mechanical property testing. 5. Performs equipment temperature profiles. 6. Support Safety and Housekeeping in areas of responsibility. 7. Inspects/reviews incoming and in-process material for grain size and proper heat treatment. 8. Sections, mounts and polishes material as needed for metallurgical investigations. 9. Set up and calibrate NDT equipment. 10. Evaluate NDT rejects for validity. 11. Hold current NDT Level II certifications. 12. Troubleshoot, service, repair industrial ink jet and pad printers. Knowledge of a specialty (chemistry). Knowledge of regulations regarding waste management, hazardous materials and methods of disposal. Knowledge of operating procedures and processes. Knowledge of metallurgy, material microstructures and effects of heat treatment. Knowledge of metallography, etchants, and etch times appropriate for brass, aluminum and steel. Knowledge of NDT test equipment and test procedures. Knowledge of nondestructive testing applications and techniques Knowledge of hardness, tensile and other physical testing equipment. Ability to perform laboratory tests. Ability to handle routine tasks and to carry assignments through to completion. Annual physical (eye) exam required. Must be a United States Citizen.
