POSITION OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance tasks to keep production equipment operational, while working at and promoting the highest levels of safety. This position is also expected to advance the use of our CMMS system to build a preventive and predictive maintenance program and help enhance a culture of Continuous Improvement. The Maintenance Technician will be the main point of contact for outside vendors performing regular work at both the HQ facility and the Aspen plant. This position is Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m - 2:15 p.m.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform maintenance tasks to keep production equipment operational. Perform work at the highest safety levels, promote safetyinternallyand work directly with contractors on safety procedures. Ensure sound maintenance processes aredevelopfor capital projects and new equipment. Work with outside vendors tofacilitatepreventative maintenance on equipment and maintenance of the facilities and grounds of both HQ and the Appleton plant. Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all plant and building equipment. Develop and execute a preventative maintenance plan for existing and new equipment. Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Assistin developing and installing new equipment or plant expansion projects. Lead small capital projects and improvements in both facilities Contact,directand promote the safety of contractors to perform inspections or maintenance work. Maintainaccurateand up to date maintenance records. Order andmaintainspare parts inventory for both locations.
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED 5-7
years maintenance experience or educational equivalent Current and Valid WisconsinDriver'slicense. Ability to be on anafter-hourson-call rotation Basic mechanical skills related to the use of hand and power tools Basic knowledge of process control, refrigeration, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, LOTO, and industrial safety practices. Experienced with steam systems, liquid transfer systems, pump repair, valve repair, and confined space entry. Previouselectrical work experiencea plus. Ability to balance multiple priorities Computer Skills and CMMS software experience
QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED 2-5
years' experience in chemical manufacturing environment Ability to repair and install piping - welding experience a plus Experience with
PSM, ISO
9001, and other manufacturing best practices Experience leading and executing small capital projects The successful candidate will have strengths in thefollowing:. Ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors,contractors,and operators. Assess and make recommendations for improvements in areas of safety,cost,and performance.
