On-Site Overview MasTec Communications Group is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Coax Splicer to join our growing telecommunications construction team. In this role, you will support aerial and underground coaxial cable operations, including splicing, sweeping, troubleshooting, activations, and network optimization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, outdoor environments, and contributing to critical infrastructure projects that help expand connectivity for communities. Responsibilities Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot aerial and underground coaxial cable systems Optimize new nodes and complete node splits to reduce network capacity issues Utilize RF meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers) Read and interpret CATV telecommunications designs and blueprints Support plant upgrades, extensions, and new construction projects Work safely in outdoor utility construction environments Perform troubleshooting and activation tasks with a high attention to quality Work on ladders and bucket trucks as required
