Gridware.io. Role Overview Gridware is seeking Field Operations Technicians to support a large-scale deployment program across various Northern California regions. This role is responsible for coordinating and supporting the installation of Gridware's advanced sensing systems on utility infrastructure while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, thrives in dynamic field environments, communicates effectively with contractors and utility personnel, and is comfortable taking ownership of field operations in remote locations. Location & Schedule Deployment Areas Northern CA Training Training begins July 6, 2026 Richmond, CA All travel, lodging, and meals provided during training Work Schedule Monday-Friday 12-hour shifts Rotational schedules available to ensure adequate rest and recovery Part-Time W-2 Seasonal Position Compensation $30/hour regular pay $45/hour overtime pay Overtime eligible after 40 hours per week, or beyond 8 hours in a day Project Duration Expected through October (end date TBD) Opportunity to support future Gridware utility deployments Responsibilities Plan and oversee the installation of Gridware sensing devices on utility poles and related infrastructure. Coordinate closely with utility line crews and contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of field activities. Provide clear direction, troubleshooting support, and installation guidance throughout deployment operations. Conduct site assessments and verify site readiness prior to installation activities. Identify, document, and resolve technical and operational issues encountered in the field. Serve as a professional representative of Gridware when interacting with utility personnel, contractors, local authorities, and community stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of installation activities, site conditions, issues encountered, and corrective actions using Gridware's internal tools. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety requirements, project specifications, and utility standards. Required Skills 1-3 years of experience in field operations, utility work, technical support, construction, telecommunications, surveying, mapping, or a related field. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide direction and work effectively alongside contractors and utility crews. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in outdoor field environments. Strong proficiency in spoken and written English. Comfortable using mobile applications, digital tools, and field documentation systems. Successful candidates must demonstrate A desire to work outdoors in physically active environments. Strong situational awareness and attention to detail. Ability to adapt to changing field conditions and priorities. Professionalism when interacting with customers, contractors, and utility personnel. Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories. Flexibility to work deployment-based schedules, including extended shifts and significant overtime. Ability to walk, hike, and work outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions, including heat, rain, wind, and cold temperatures.
