You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and troubleshooting fiber infrastructure, contributing to the backbone of modern communication systems. Responsibilities Perform fiber splicing and termination on various types of fiber optic cables with precision and efficiency Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and power tools to access installation sites safely Conduct field service activities including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining telecommunication infrastructure Install and connect cabling for fiber optic networks, LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet, WAN (Wide Area Network), telephony, and other low voltage systems Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and network diagrams to guide installation and repairs Climb poles or towers using climbing gear to access elevated network points while adhering to safety protocols Use hand tools and computer networking equipment to test connectivity, measure signal strength, and ensure optimal performance Skills Proven experience in field service operations within telecommunication or construction environments Skilled in fiber splicing techniques with a strong understanding of fiber optic technology standards Ability to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks safely and efficiently Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage wiring, schematics, and electrical experience is highly desirable Familiarity with network infrastructure components including LAN, Ethernet, WAN, telephony systems, and IT infrastructure Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and testing devices for cabling installation and troubleshooting Strong climbing skills with adherence to safety standards for working at heights on poles or towers Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical schematics accurately Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and coordinate field activities Embark on a career that connects communities through cutting-edge technology!
