This position is for someone who can do more than pull cable. We are looking for a technician who understands how systems work together in the field and can identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems during installation and deployment. The right candidate is comfortable working on active job sites, handling physical installations, organizing infrastructure cleanly, and diagnosing common connectivity or equipment issues without constant supervision. This is not a desk-based IT role and not an entry-level installer position. Responsibilities Install, route, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 cabling Install and support: Network switches Wireless access points and bridges Security camera systems Access control devices AV and connected equipment Build and organize network racks and equipment layouts
Troubleshoot:
Network connectivity issues Device communication problems Wireless link issues Cabling faults Power and PoE-related issues Label and document installations clearly and professionally Read layouts, follow installation standards, and complete work independently Maintain organized and professional job sites Communicate effectively with clients and team members Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with low-voltage and network installations Ability to terminate and test network cabling properly Basic understanding of: IP networking Switches Wireless systems DHCP/static addressing PoE devices Ability to troubleshoot installation and connectivity issues in the field Comfortable using ladders, lifts, hand tools, and power tools Ability to work independently and stay organized Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Experience Wireless bridge deployments Fiber installation or troubleshooting Camera and surveillance systems Access control systems Rack installation and cable management Network switch replacement or setup Service call experience Rooftop or warehouse installations What We Value We value technicians who: Take ownership of their work Keep installations clean and organized Solve problems without excuses Communicate professionally Show up consistently Pay attention to details Understand that reliability matters We care about clean infrastructure, organized racks, proper labeling, and systems that work correctly after deployment — not rushed installs that create future problems. Pay:
$25.00 - $33.00 per hour
