Telecom Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and networking, with hands-on experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and field service. This role involves working with various technologies to ensure efficient installation and maintenance of cabling systems, providing high-quality service to our clients. Duties Perform fiber splicing and installation of low voltage cabling systems for telecommunication networks. Install and configure network equipment, including Cisco routers and Ethernet systems. Conduct thorough testing of installed systems using tools such as an ohmmeter to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer networking and telephony services. Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to complete installations and repairs efficiently. Provide exceptional field service by responding promptly to client requests and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Document work performed, including detailed reports on installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Experience Proven experience as a service technician in the telecommunications industry is preferred. Familiarity with cabling standards and practices, including Ethernet and telephony systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively. Experience with computer networking principles and practices. Understanding of electrical concepts related to low voltage systems. Previous experience in fiber splicing is highly desirable. Pay:

$1,077.19 - $1,567.26 per week
