The Mechanical Technical Field Advisor (TFA) I supports mechanical installation and inspection activities on Mitsubishi Power-supplied equipment, focusing on proper installation practices, equipment protection, and safe, high-quality field execution. This role works under guidance while developing the judgment to identify and escalate risks related to safety, quality, and equipment integrity. The position also leads efforts, collaborates with leadership, and provides strategic oversight to ensure efficiencies.

Support installation and inspection of turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems through an active field presence while ensuring adherence to Mitsubishi procedures. Observe work execution and escalate deviations, improper methods, unsafe behaviors, or tooling issues that risk personnel or equipment. Support equipment protection through monitoring of storage, handling, preservation, cleanliness, and control of components within scope. Participate in JHAs, pre-task planning, and walkdowns to identify hazards, verify readiness, and reduce rework. Support quality assurance by observing hold/witness points, validating work against drawings/specifications, and assisting with turnover readiness. Assist with PAR documentation, inspections, and issue tracking to ensure clear communication and timely resolution. Requirements An Associate of Science degree in Engineering or combination of equivalent education and field experience, and 1-3 Years mechanical or industrial construction field experience. Willingness to challenge unsafe or non-compliant behavior and grow into a leadership role. Basic knowledge of mechanical installation practices for turbines, generators, or industrial equipment with willingness to learn field execution standards. Ability to recognize and escalate safety, quality, or compliance risks and demonstrate accountability in a field environment. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with ability to work under guidance in fast-paced site conditions. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, electronic mail required. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 80%; OSHA training preferred but not required.
