Enterprises General Contractors, Inc. (EMEGC) is a Telecommunications General Contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL. We offer a wide range of services and turnkey solutions in telecommunications construction including general and electrical construction as well as design and specialty services throughout the state of Florida. EMEGC's services include full telecommunications site construction, pole and tower construction, installation of various carriers, and service and support for those carriers. The company regularly self-performs pole erections, RF installations, fence installations, concrete slabs, electrical, minor site work including landscaping and demolition. EMEGC also performs In-Building DAS Installations in a variety of settings to improve carrier signal strength within facilities. EMEGC performs In-Building Installations for both wireless carrier signal strength as well as BDA installations to meet local AHJ signal strength requirements. Job Description We are currently looking for an entry- to mid-level DAS Field Technician to join our growing stadium and venue support team in Miami, FL. This is a great opportunity for a motivated technician looking to grow in the DAS/Telecom field. The selected candidate will work onsite under the mentorship and direction of a Level 4 Lead Technician. Candidates should have a basic to intermediate understanding of RF principles and DAS systems. Some commissioning experience is preferred but not required — we will provide training and development. Experience in stadium, arena, or large venue environments and/or fiber optic systems is a plus. This role is primarily based onsite in the Miami area, with approximately 10% travel.
Qualifications:
Foundational understanding of wireless technologies including LTE, 5G, and legacy cellular systems (GSM, UMTS, CDMA) Familiarity with RF test equipment (e.g., Spectrum Analyzer, Anritsu, JDSU, or similar); willingness to learn additional tools on the job Some commissioning experience preferred; exposure to OEM systems such as JMA Wireless, Commscope, Corning, Westell, or Solid is a plus UL Noise floor measurements and optimization Cellular and Public Safety walk testing utilizing phones and or scanners BDA commissioning Post-processing walk data and creation of closeout documents Read and interpret design drawings, blueprints, and installation guides Ability to read and interpret RF designs (e.g., iBwave) Familiarity with DAS troubleshooting in large venue environments (stadiums, arenas, convention centers) is a plus Experience with fiber optic testing and fiber optic test equipment is highly beneficial (OTDR, Visual Fault Locator, Fiber Optic Testers) Ability to troubleshoot and correct PIM Initiate Repair Maintenance authorizations (RMAs) for faulty equipment with OEM and follow through of entire process until received back from repair. (Coordinate PO issue, Shipping, Tracking, etc.) Ability to utilize Spectrum analyzer to identify high noise floor, interference related issues and check for prescience of RF carrier signals Read and interpret as-built drawings, cable routing diagrams and fiber routing matrix Proficient in installation, termination, and testing of fiber systems and low voltage cabling systems Proficient in Fiber Optics Testing and Fiber Optic Testers Must have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Ability to support team members and follow direction from the Lead Technician onsite Assist with interpreting alarm reports and coordinating repair activities under the guidance of the Lead Technician, including supporting access requests and materials logistics Coordinate efforts between external customers and internal service technicians Communicate effectively and professionally with the customer and provide reports relating to system operation Document and report all activity and track billable hours Knowledge of digital power, such as Voltserver Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently Must be willing to travel approximately 10% of the time Benefits Medical, including Prescription Drugs Dental, Vision and Supplemental plans Company Paid Basic Life and AD&D Insurance Company Paid Short Term Disability Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) 401(k)/Roth Retirement Plan and company match Birthday Pay Career Growth & Development Other - The company offers other benefits not listed above Job Type:
