Low Voltage Systems Installer
II DAS-ERCES
The Opportunity:
Communications International (Ci) is seeking an IBW Installer II to support In-Building Wireless (IBW) projects delivering mission-critical communication systems used by public safety agencies, hospitals, schools, and commercial facilities. In this role, you will be a highly skilled installer responsible for executing complex installation work, supporting field operations, and assisting with coordination of daily activities on site. Travel Requirements (Read Before Applying): Travel is required approximately 90% of the time. This is a field-based position supporting projects throughout Florida and Southeastern states. Most work weeks require overnight travel Monday through Friday. Depending on project needs, assignments may require being away from home for one to two consecutive weeks. Work is performed onsite at customer locations Candidates must be comfortable with an extensive travel lifestyle as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute complex installation tasks for DAS, ERCES, LTE, and Wi-Fi systems
  • Support field leadership with daily installation activities
  • Perform cable installation (coax, fiber, grounding), antenna mounting, and rack construction
  • Ensure installations match engineered drawings, risers, and project requirements
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, IFC, and AHJ requirements
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a safe job site
  • Support system testing using PCTEL, Anritsu, and Fluke
  • Support coordination with Project Managers and Engineers for site readiness and turn-up
  • Assist with training and onboarding of less experienced installers
  • Maintain daily reports, photos, redlines, and closeout documentation
  • Communicate clearly with customers, AHJs, and contractors
  • Identify and escalate issues related to materials, schedule, or safety
  • Work independently in the field with minimal supervision on assigned tasks
Qualifications:
Required:
  • 3+ years of experience in DAS, ERCES, LTE, or low-voltage installation
  • Experience with RF/grid testing tools (PCTEL, SeeHawk, iBwave, etc.)
  • OSHA 10
  • Ability to read drawings, risers, and technical documents
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Work in mechanical rooms and confined spaces
  • Extended periods of standing and walking during grid testing
Desired Qualifications:
  • NICET Level I
FCC GROL
  • Active First Aid / CPR certification
  • Manufacturer certifications (ADRF, Westell, etc.)
  • Experience with system testing, tuning, and optimization
  • Understanding of fire alarm interfaces and code compliance
  • Experience working in schools, hospitals, or secure facilities
