- At Telcom Construction, as a Technician Field Make Ready Inspector, you are responsible for identifying potential issues, verifying existing utility locations, and conducts site assessments to prevent delays or safety violations.

- What you'll do
- + Assessing feasibility and safety for new builds + Identifying obstructions and make ready work that must happen before construction can begin + Perform comprehensive field inspections of OSP infrastructure, including aerial, buried, and underground fiber/copper networks, to ensure all elements meet construction, safety + Collaborate with field crews, supervisors, project managers and customer teams to resolve issues identified during the inspection process + Strong ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, network diagrams, GIS maps + Generate precise inspection reports, documenting all findings, including defects, non-compliance issues, and required corrective actions (redlines) + Working knowledge of OSP construction techniques, practices, and materials for aerial and underground utilities + Proficiency with measurement tools, testing equipment, and electronic devices (e.
- What you'll need
- + To be 18 years of age or older + Authorization to work in the United States for this company + Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record + 3+ years of relevant work experience in telecommunications OSP construction, installation, maintenance, or inspection (fiber, coax, copper)
- Additional qualifications
- + Quality control experience preferred + Associates Degree in an industry related field or equivalent work experience + Knowledge and understanding of the telecommunication construction industry standard practices + Knowledge of Customer Installation Standards and Documentation
- Physical abilities & exposures
- + •Routinely•: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, squeeze, bend, stoop, stand, walking, climb stairs, use keyboard and mouse + •
