Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Fiber Splicer, where you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic networks that power modern telecommunication systems. This energetic position requires a proactive approach to field service, and intricate fiber splicing techniques. You will work outdoors and in various construction environments, utilizing specialized tools and equipment to ensure reliable high-speed data transmission. Your expertise will directly impact the connectivity of communities and businesses, making this a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about IT infrastructure and network infrastructure development. Responsibilities Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing to ensure optimal network performance. Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and power tools safely to access difficult or elevated locations. Install, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunication cabling including fiber, CAT6 and low voltage systems. Read schematics and technical diagrams to accurately install and maintain network infrastructure. Use hand tools and computer networking knowledge to troubleshoot connectivity problems and optimize network performance. Requirements On the job training. This is an entry level position. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously while working in outdoor or elevated settings We are and Employee Owned Company that has an ESOP contribution. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
