Job Description
Job Summary The Utility locator will be responsible for locating outside plant fiber and coax facilities. Duties include locating underground and above ground assets and identifying specified attribute information. Candidates must be able to work independently and possess a high regard for safety. Qualifications Must possess a valid Illinois driver's license Must have a safe driving record Must have prior utility locating experience Must be able to travel Basic computer skills required Ability to follow IDOT safety standards when working in the ROW Preferred Experience Knowledge of coordinate systems and datums Experience using locate equipment Experience using Google Earth/ Interpreting and creating kmz files Ability to read
