Job Description

2 Way Radio Communications Technician Dynamic, rapidly growing, and stable (Founded in 1983) company is looking for a self-motivated, experienced 2 Way Radio Communications Technician. This position will work both on site and in the field of servicing customers. The ideal candidate will have at least Two (2) years of experience as a technician with radio communication systems. Must be career driven and seeking a work experience that rewards individuals for their skills and personal advancement. Essential Responsibilities:
Perform installations using coax cable, terminations and testing Perform mobile radio installations in fire trucks, police cruisers, ambulances, utility trucks, and other equipment Ability to work with customers Ability to provide training and demonstrations on site to customers Document test results and generate associated system reports for system acceptance Test and maintain commissioned Public Safety equipment per code requirements Troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain digital two-way radio systems and other equipment Install, program and maintain P25 conventional, Phase 1 and Phase 2, NXDN, DMR, and analog systems and subscribers. Prepare, complete and maintain appropriate job tickets, warranty forms and reports in an accurate and timely manner Maintain and install radio communications for emergency dispatch centers.
Essential Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) years of experience with Microsoft Office Operating Systems, MFDs, Adobe Acrobat, Axway, and others Two (2 years) of experience and working knowledge of RF Systems such as transmitters, receivers, antenna networks Proficient with using various test equipment Communications Monitor, T1 Test Sets, TIMS, Spectrum Analyzer, Antenna Analyzers, etc. A verifiable history of customer service Project a positive image and professional manner Ability to work within the confines of a set time schedule Knowledge and experience communicating technical support concepts to technical and non-technical personnel Ability to read technical documents Self-sufficient telecommunications expert capable of providing reliable communications support to customers Strong Network administration skills Ability to know where to find solutions for complex technical issues Responsible for ensuring successful completion of advanced networking activities, including installing, configuring, managing, and testing virtual computing environments across complex networks Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to learn new and complex tools as required Valid Driver's License and clean driving record Highschool Diploma is required Trade School and/or Electronics or Communications Certificate preferred Must be able to comply with
