Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fiber Splicer to join our dynamic telecommunications team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic networks to ensure reliable high-speed connectivity for our clients. Your expertise will help build and sustain robust telecommunication infrastructure, supporting everything from internet services to complex network systems. Duties Perform fiber splicing using specialized tools and techniques to connect fiber optic cables with precision and care Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, cranes, and power tools safely to access difficult or elevated work areas Install and troubleshoot telecommunication infrastructure including cabling, LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet, WAN (Wide Area Network), and low voltage systems Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and construction plans to guide installation and repair processes Climb utility poles or structures safely using climbing gear to access work sites for cable installation or maintenance Conduct field service activities including testing network connectivity, verifying signal integrity, and resolving technical issues on-site Maintain detailed records of splicing activities, network configurations, and equipment used during projects Follow safety protocols diligently while working with electrical systems, power tools, and heavy machinery Experience Proven experience in fiber splicing within telecommunication environments Hands-on experience operating bucket trucks, cranes, or other heavy equipment used in construction or utility work Strong knowledge of telecommunication cabling standards, schematics, and network infrastructure components Familiarity with computer networking concepts Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively Experience working in field service roles involving climbing, low voltage wiring, or construction projects is a plus Join us to be part of a dedicated team that builds the backbone of modern communication networks!
