Field Service Technician Prime Technical Solutions - 4.0 New Orleans, LA Job Details Contract $18 - $25 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Network troubleshooting Operating systems Network setup Driver's License Hardware support Telecommunication IP networking AV rack building Structured cabling installation Telecommunications structured cabling Full Job Description Field Service Technician (IT & Low Voltage Systems) Join our dynamic team as a Field Service Technician, where you'll be the frontline expert ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of computer systems, networks, phone systems, and structured cabling across multiple client sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment while supporting critical IT operations and delivering excellent customer service. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure minimal downtime and maximum performance. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on client computers, networks, VoIP phone systems, and low-voltage infrastructure Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues on-site Install, configure, and support VoIP phone systems Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, etc.) Provide on-site technical support at client facilities Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to industry standards Communicate clearly with clients regarding issues, solutions, and timelines Qualifications Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routers, switches, etc.) Experience installing and troubleshooting VoIP phone systems Hands-on experience running and terminating low-voltage cabling Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Good communication and customer service abilities Ability to work independently in field environment Must have own tools Must have valid Drivers License Must be able to pass a
Background Check and Drug Screen Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
