What you'll do As a Quality Control Field Technician, you will ensure that construction or installation work meets specified standards by performing inspections and monitoring compliance throughout projects.Key responsibilities include:
Field Inspections:
Perform on-site quality audits of underground and aerial telecommunications construction to ensure compliance with customer specifications.Compliance Monitoring:
Verify that all safety protocols, permit requirements, and "as-built" documentation are accurate and up to date.Reporting:
Document findings and provide feedback to field crews and project management to ensure continuous improvement.Technical Support:
Serve as a subject matter expert on quality standards for fiber and utility installation projects. What you'll need- Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
- Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record (required).
- Previous experience in telecommunications construction, utility locating, or quality control is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
- Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions and performing field-based tasks.
- Ability to routinely lift and carry 55+ pounds.
- Able to pass background check and drug test Additional qualifications Quality control experience preferred Associates Degree in an industry related field or equivalent work experience Knowledge and understanding of the telecommunication construction industry standard practices Knowledge of Customer Installation Standards and Documentation Physical abilities & exposures
