Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Low Voltage Technician and become a vital part of delivering cutting-edge communication and security solutions. In this energetic role, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage systems that power modern networks, security systems, and telecommunications infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity and reliable operation across diverse environments, from data centers to commercial buildings. We are looking for motivated professionals eager to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced, rewarding setting that values innovation and customer satisfaction. Duties Install, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optic cabling, Ethernet networks, VoIP telephony, and access control systems. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately complete system installations and repairs. Perform fiber splicing and cable management for high-speed data transmission setups in various environments. Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues, perform equipment repairs, and ensure optimal system performance. Assist with network installation projects involving Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, LAN/WAN configurations, and network hardware. Use hand tools and power tools safely to install cabling (Cat5, Cat6), telecommunications infrastructure, and electrical components following NEC standards. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions clearly and addressing client needs professionally during site visits. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar low voltage or telecommunications role with a strong understanding of electrical principles. Knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet wiring, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, LAN/WAN configurations, and VoIP systems. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and cabling standards such as Cat5 and Cat6. Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, NEC code compliance, and telecommunication equipment repair. Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical circuits effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments like data centers or commercial sites. Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer-focused attitude to ensure client satisfaction during all phases of installation or maintenance tasks. $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
