Job Description
Position Overview We have an immediate opening for a Communications Site Installer based in Pascagoula, Mississippi. This is a hands-on field position where you will work alongside experienced technicians learning the trade while performing work at tower sites and customer locations throughout Gulf Coast Mississippi. If you are mechanically inclined, good with computers, low voltage wiring and ready to build a career in the communications industry, we want to hear from you. What You Will Do Assist with and perform installation of Motorola communications equipment at tower sites and customer locations. Perform routine site maintenance tasks including battery replacements, cleaning, and general upkeep Learn to use diagnostic software and test equipment to identify and resolve equipment issues Travel to tower sites and fixed locations throughout Mississippi to perform scheduled and emergency maintenance Complete service tickets, maintenance logs, and reports accurately and on time Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines while working in the field What We Are Looking For Strong computer skills required; must be comfortable with Windows, Excel, email, and software based tools Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on problem-solving attitude Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and learn new technical skills on the job Comfortable working independently at remote sites and in various outdoor conditions Able to climb ladders, work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical field work Reliable, punctual, and self motivated Nice to Have Experience in telecom, construction, electrical, HVAC, IT, or a related trade Familiarity with two way radios or communications equipment Associate degree or technical/vocational training in electronics or a related field
