Dish Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dish Technician to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing satellite dish systems and related telecommunication equipment. Duties Install, configure, and troubleshoot satellite dishes, fiber optic cables, and related network components to ensure optimal performance. Perform fiber splicing with precision to establish secure and efficient data transmission pathways. Set up and test Cisco routers, Ethernet connections, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring to support communication networks. Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues and perform repairs on telecommunication infrastructure. Conduct field service visits for system upgrades, maintenance, or troubleshooting at customer locations. Follow safety protocols while handling cabling, mechanical components, and electrical systems to prevent hazards. Document all work performed accurately in service reports and update system records for future reference. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or field technician within the telecommunication or networking industry. Strong knowledge of fiber splicing techniques and network installation procedures. Familiarity with Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, telephony systems, and low voltage electrical wiring. Hands-on experience with cable management, mechanical assembly, and electrical troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters. Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings with clarity. Previous exposure to telecommunication infrastructure projects involving cabling, network setup, and system testing. Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience is highly desirable for success in this role.
