Broadband Internet Technician

Skyrunner, Inc is a rapidly growing regional Fiber & Wireless Internet Service Provider. We are currently taking applications for Broadband Technicians for Fixed Wireless and Fiber Internet installations, repairs, and service calls. No experience necessary. Skyrunner provides full paid training. Candidates should... Have basic computer knowledge and general user level experience with home Internet, connecting devices to Wifi, etc. Be able to do physically demanding work in all weather conditions. Be comfortable with heights; you will have to work on ladders, roofs, and utility poles. Have excellent communication skills and exceptional manners when interacting with customers. Be reliable and arrive to jobs in a timely manner. Agree to a criminal background check. Have a current drivers license and good driving record.

Job tasks include:

Installing and configuring fixed wireless and fiber Internet systems at residential and business locations Troubleshooting and repairing service problems in the field Assisting customers with internal network equipment, routers, computers, VoIP telephones, and other Internet ready devices Broadband Technicians generally work out of personal vehicles although a company vehicle may be negotiable. Mileage is paid at the federal rate for vehicle expenses. A reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance and a valid NC driver's license is required. All other tools are provided. This is NOT a travel job but does require a lot of daily driving. You will be working in our regional area and commuting daily from your home to job sites. Our broadband technicians average 1,700 miles/month. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits after a 90 day trial period.
