In this vital position, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic and cable networks that power homes and businesses. Your expertise will help ensure seamless connectivity, supporting everything from internet services to telecommunication systems. Responsibilities Perform fiber splicing and cable installation to establish reliable high-speed networks. Set up and troubleshoot network equipment including Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, and telephony systems. Conduct field service visits to install, inspect, and repair telecommunication cables and low voltage wiring. Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble, secure, and test cabling infrastructure. Measure electrical signals with ohmmeters and other testing devices to ensure optimal network performance. Follow safety protocols related to electrical work, telecommunication standards, and mechanical procedures. Document all work performed through detailed reports, including network configurations, test results, and service logs. Skills Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunication systems. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts such as Ethernet, IP addressing, and network topology. Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and telephony equipment. Hands-on experience with cabling techniques, low voltage wiring, and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to operate field service tools including ohmmeters, wire strippers, crimpers, and other hand tools. Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience for complex installations or repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service as a service technician or field technician. Join us in powering the future of connectivity!
