Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Data and Alarms Technician, where you will be maintaining installing and troubleshooting critical data and alarm systems across residential and commercial locations. This role offers an opportunity to work with advanced telecommunication, networking, and security technologies, ensuring seamless operation. Install, configure, and maintain data communication systems including Ethernet, fiber optics, and telephony equipment. Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of CCTV surveillance systems, alarms, access control, and security devices to ensure optimal operation. Perform fiber splicing, cable cabling (Cat5, Cat6), and low voltage wiring in accordance with schematics and industry standards such as NEC guidelines. Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to diagnose electrical issues or equipment failures. Repair or replace network hardware Document system configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports accurately for compliance and future reference. Collaborate with clients and team members during field service visits to install new systems or troubleshoot existing infrastructure efficiently. Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, network installation, fiber splicing, and telecommunication infrastructure. Proficiency with schematics reading, Ethernet wiring standards (Cat5/Cat6), and LAN setup. Hands-on experience in service technician roles involving equipment repair in data centers or field environments. Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics; excellent problem-solving skills for electrical or network issues. Customer service skills to effectively communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
