Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technician to join our team in providing comprehensive telecommunication and network services. The ideal candidate will have experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and working with internet routers. This role involves field service work, troubleshooting, and maintaining telecommunication systems, requiring a strong foundation in computer networking, electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge. The Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our clients' communication infrastructure. Duties Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment including Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, and telephony systems. Conduct field service visits to install, repair, and maintain telecommunication infrastructure at client sites. Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues related to low voltage systems. Assist with cabling projects involving mechanical knowledge of cable routing and securing cables properly. Interpret technical diagrams and schematics for accurate system setup and troubleshooting. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations for telecommunication systems. Document all service activities accurately for reporting and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience in service technician roles within telecommunications or related fields. Strong background in fiber splicing, network installation, and computer networking principles. Familiarity with Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring. Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools for cabling and equipment installation. Knowledge of electrical systems with the ability to use testing devices such as ohmmeters effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently in complex systems. Ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards. Prior experience working with telecommunication infrastructure or field service is preferred. Relevant certifications or training in telecommunications or electrical systems are a plus.
