Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Low Voltage Technician and become a vital part of delivering cutting-edge communication and security solutions. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure seamless network connectivity, reliable telecommunication systems, and advanced security infrastructure. Responsibilities Install, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optic cabling, Ethernet networks, VoIP telephony, and data communication infrastructure. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installations and repairs. Perform fiber splicing with precision to ensure optimal data transmission quality. Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues, perform repairs on network equipment, and upgrade existing systems. Assist with network installation projects involving Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, and LAN configurations. Use hand tools and power tools safely to install cabling (Cat5, Cat6), telecommunications equipment, and electrical components in accordance with NEC standards. Provide exceptional customer service by clearly communicating technical information and ensuring client satisfaction during service calls. Requirements Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or Service Technician with a strong background in telecommunications or electrical systems. Knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LAN setup, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and VoIP systems. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, cabling (Cat5/Cat6), schematics interpretation, and equipment repair. Familiarity with telecommunication standards such as NEC regulations and low voltage wiring practices. Ability to use testing tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical circuits. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent customer service abilities. Physical capability to perform field work involving climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in confined spaces. $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
