Job Description

Wireless Internet Field Installation and Maintenance Technician Impact Internet is a fixed wireless home internet provider looking for a Field Technician. The Field Technician is responsible for installation and servicing of Impact Internet's customers internet services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
§ Perform installations of customer internet service at their homes § Roof mount antennas on customer roof and run cabling into the home § Configure indoor internet routers and customer Wi-Fi access points § Provides positive customer support both during installs and service calls § Locate optimal placement for equipment § Installation of equipment § Perform site surveys § Track and document the progression of work § Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues § Provide verbal or written instructions for our internet service § Build relationships and trust with customers § Travel daily to and from customer' residence or business in company provided vehicle § Ability to pivot work hours when demand warrants Ability to lift 50 lbs Requirements for
Consideration:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to assist customers patiently and consistently
  • Understanding of basic technology
  • Familiarity with power and hand tools
  • Ability to climb and work on a ladder
  • Problem Solving
  • Deductive reasoning
  • Ability to operate handheld mobile devices
  • Detail-oriented and able to stay on task
  • Ability to crouch and kneel while working
  • Valid Drivers' License
  • Bilingual is a plus
