In this energetic role, you will be the frontline hero responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications infrastructure in various field locations. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for customers by delivering top-tier service and technical excellence. Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of coaxial and fiber optic cables, ensuring high-quality connections and optimal network performance. Conduct fiber splicing with precision to ensure minimal signal loss and maximum reliability. Install and configure network equipment such as Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, and telephony systems in diverse environments. Utilize hand tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices to diagnose issues with low voltage wiring and electrical components. Troubleshoot network problems related to cabling, mechanical connections, or equipment failures in the field setting. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with telecommunication infrastructure, including low voltage systems and electrical components. Document all work performed accurately in service reports and update asset management records promptly. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or in a related field service role within telecommunications or networking industries. Strong knowledge of fiber splicing techniques and cable management best practices. Familiarity with network installation involving Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, and telephony systems. Hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and mechanical assembly. Ability to interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints related to telecommunication infrastructure. Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot complex system issues effectively.
