In person Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Field Technician Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in networking and low-voltage field work . This internship is designed for individuals who are interested in building a long-term technical career and want real-world experience working on residential and commercial job sites. This is a 9-12 month internship with structured training and mentorship. Interns who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and skill development will be considered for permanent hire , along with a $1.00/hour pay increase upon conversion. What You'll Be Doing Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment (including Ubiquiti routers and switches) Run, terminate, test, and label Ethernet and low-voltage cabling Support on-site installations, repairs, and service calls Diagnose and assist with resolving basic connectivity and hardware issues Use hand tools and specialized equipment safely and correctly Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Communicate professionally with customers and team members Follow company safety standards and industry best practices Internship Structure & Growth Path 9-12 month internship with hands-on training Ongoing mentorship from experienced technicians Performance evaluations throughout the internship Eligibility for permanent hire based on performance and business needs $1/hour pay increase upon successful conversion to a permanent role Opportunity for additional hours and responsibility as skills grow Work Environment & Expectations Field-based, hands-on work in active jobsite environments Physical activity including lifting, ladder use, and equipment handling Early start times depending on project requirements Travel to varying job sites is required Strong focus on safety, reliability, and professionalism QualificationsRequired Valid Driver's License Reliable transportation to job sites Willingness to travel up to 50% Interest in networking, low-voltage, or technical field work Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail Preferred (Not Required) Experience terminating or testing Ethernet cables Familiarity with basic networking concepts Prior hands-on technical, IT, or construction experience Application Questions Do you know how to terminate and locate Ethernet cables?
