Job Summary As the Fielder I, II, III, you will ultimately be responsible for collecting field data, validating network design paths, and supporting engineering teams with accurate site information. You will perform aerial and underground inspections, document field conditions, and deliver critical data for telecommunications network design. As the Fielder, your customers are design engineers, construction teams, and telecommunications clients, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company's success through quality data collection, cost-effective planning, and safe field execution. Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to) Collect and document utility pole data, attachment heights, clearances, and route opportunities Conduct aerial and underground surveys for fiber optic network construction and placement Inspect completed construction work, fiber placement, and contractor performance for compliance and quality Capture field photos, sketches, and documentation to support engineering design and reporting Open hand holes and inspect substructure conditions, fiber placement, and facility integrity Attend field meetings with clients, agencies, and contractors while maintaining safety standards Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs Required Qualifications Education, Licensing, and Certifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required Experience Basic knowledge of telecommunications design, make-ready construction, and field engineering practices Experience in engineering, construction, architecture, or telecommunications industries preferred Skills and Abilities Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing schedules and priorities Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Earth Ability to learn project management systems, databases, and field reporting tools quickly Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics Knowledge of telecommunications engineering standards and construction techniques Physical Requirements Ability to stand, stoop, squat, bend, and walk for extended periods of time Ability to look up and navigate uneven terrain for extended periods Ability to tolerate extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
