Full Job Description Job Title:

Higher-End Low Voltage Technician OR Foreman Location:

Hilliard / Columbus / Plain City, OH (Greater Metro Area)

Lead Technician:

$26•28/hr

Foreman:

$27•30/hr (based on demonstrated experience and leadership ability)

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation, termination, splicing, and testing of fiber optic and copper cabling systems Work with CAT5e/CAT6, coaxial, and fiber optic (single-mode and multi-mode) systems Conduct field terminations and fiber splicing as needed Perform testing, certification, and troubleshooting of copper and fiber networks Ensure proper grounding and bonding practices are followed Build and complete MDFs, IDFs, and telecommunications rooms Maintain accurate cable records, field prints, and as-built documentation

Leadership & Coordination:

Lead small crews (1-4+ technicians) on active job sites Plan manpower, materials, and equipment needs for upcoming 5-10 day work cycles Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to Installer I, Installer II, and Technician-level staff Coordinate daily work activities to meet project timelines and quality standards Support field execution by resolving technical and installation issues

Required Experience:

3-5+ years of Low Voltage experience (outside hyperscale/data center environments preferred) Strong background in structured cabling systems (fiber, copper, coax) Experience with field terminations, splicing, and testing (fiber and copper) Experience building and working in MDFs, IDFs, and TRs Ability to read and interpret field prints, drawings, and as-builts Proven experience leading or supervising small field crews Experience training and mentoring junior technicians

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong troubleshooting and testing expertise (Fluke or equivalent tools) Experience in commercial or large-scale infrastructure environments Strong documentation skills for field records and as-builts OSHA or safety certifications (preferred but not required)
