Job Description
The position of Broadband Technician Lead (System) will oversee the day-to-day technical and plant maintenance and operations of the HFC and FTTH plants, head ends, hub sites and other facilities as required. Responsibilities Prioritizing, scheduling and reporting of system maintenance activities to achieve system goals Work in a team environment with installation, construction and inventory leads to complete critical projects on time Perform proof of performance scheduling, testing, reporting, and documentation Work directly with corporate engineering to prioritize, plan and deploy system augments Monitor all NOC reports, service call sheets and system problem reports, responding as required to maintain network integrity Participate in and execute required and random weekly/monthly EAS testing and statewide reporting Schedule, provide and recommend technical training for technicians Support technicians after-hours Participate in on-call rotation Qualifications 3+ years system maintenance experience preferred Strong knowledge and experience working with fiber; splicing and troubleshooting Detailed knowledge of signal level meters Ability to work as team leader or independently as required by current priorities General PC knowledge; MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint preferred Detail oriented: Exceptional organization and record keeping skills Must be self- motivated, have a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn new technologies and equipment Excellent customer interaction skills SCTE and NCTI completions preferred Who We Are The Armstrong Group is a family owned and operated collection of diverse companies.
