Job Description

Key responsibilities: Work independently providing a variety of IT installation services to our broad customer base Ability to lead and perform complex commercial and industrial installations and service projects Installation, termination, and testing of ethernet (coaxial, twisted pair, and fiber optic) cabling Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms Ability to lead crews (in-house or sub-contract) Ability to troubleshoot/diagnose cabling and hardware equipment Mounting and connecting of electronic equipment Ability to analyze blueprints for job site knowledge Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate next steps Enforce jobsite safety and maintain compliance with all company safety and safety standards Provide customer training of appropriate systems Key qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required 5+ years in the telecommunications/broadband industry BICSI Level 3 Technician certification preferred Manufacturer specific certifications a plus Knowledge of telecommunications, data, AV, network infrastructure cabling and components Basic knowledge of Wi-Fi standards, installations, and operations Proficiency with RF meters, Toners, Ethernet test equipment Understanding of RF Transmission/Propagation High mechanical aptitude
  • use of hand tools and test equipment Ability to lift 40 lbs and carry and work from ladders Positive and customer focused attitude Excellent communication skills
  • written and verbal Maintain and reference industry standards including BICSI, ANSI, NEC, EIA/TIA, and local Low Voltage Code Solid work ethic, capable of working self-directed Travel regionally based on customer locations Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance Military equivalent training is a plus Knowledge of DirecTV installation and troubleshooting a plus Must be able to be "On-Call" for after-hours emergencies (rotating basis) May be required to travel to remote customer sites (Expenses are covered) Compensation Range $25•$35/hr.
