30 am to 4:00 pm Position Overview Aerospace equipment manufacturer looking to hire a Field Service Technician! The Field Application Engineer will be part of the post-sales team and is responsible for the installation, commissioning, startup, maintenance, and repair of our machinery and associated control systems at our client locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in a field environment. Our machinery is very niche, but the ideal technical skills would be 5-axis CNC machining with Siemens Sinumerik Key Responsibilities Execute programming tasks to implement solutions, perform calibrations, and carry out adjustment procedures. Diagnose and resolve technical issues encountered during equipment commissioning and throughout the time period our clients use our equipment Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Siemens and Fanuc controls. Provide training and support to customers on the operation of their machinery. Document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve machine performance and reliability. Qualifications
  • Commissioning and services 3-5-axis CNC Machines
  • Experience with CNC Software Siemenes Sinumerik
  • Sinumerik Operate
  • Experience with PLC Software Siemens TIA Portal V15.
  • Experience using
CNC & PLC
Software for troubleshooting alarms and know how to trace alarms to find root cause.
  • Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings.
Bonus Skills:
  • Ability to re-build cables connectors like ethernet, Profibus, power cables, Harting connectors.
  • Experience with the alignment of a 5-axis cnc machine with the help of a Renishaw laser interferometer, granites and dial indicator or with a laser tracker.
  • Ability to perform disassembly, replacement and adjustment of mechanical components.
  • Ability to replace plug and play modules.
  • Experience with C++ programming with Visual Studio code.
