- Contract Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and networking, with hands-on experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and field service operations. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently in various environments while ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. We need Tech primarily based in Atlanta, Charlotte, South Dakota, California. Duties Perform fiber splicing and installation of network systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Install and configure Cisco routers and other networking equipment to meet client specifications. Conduct thorough testing of network connections using tools such as an ohmmeter to ensure compliance with industry standards. Provide field service support, troubleshooting issues related to cabling, telephony, and low voltage systems. Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management. Experience Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in the telecommunications industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand electrical systems and low voltage applications. Familiarity with computer networking principles and Ethernet technologies. Experience with cabling installations, including both copper and fiber optic systems. Ability to work independently in the field while managing multiple tasks effectively.
