Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Telecommunications Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunication systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and configure telecommunication systems, including data, voice, and video services. Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on equipment and network infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with telecommunication hardware and software. Provide on-site and remote support for customers, ensuring minimal downtime. Conduct site surveys and assessments for new installations. Document work performed, including service reports, installations, and system configurations. Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all installations and repairs. Collaborate with other technicians and team members to resolve complex issues. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Telecommunications or related field preferred (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Technician). Minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications installation and support (preferable, willing to train the right candidate). Strong knowledge of telecommunication systems (VoIP, fiber optics, wireless networks). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with fiber optic installations and testing. Familiarity with IP networking, routers, and switches. Experience working in both industrial and commercial environments.
